No Fauquier Mugshot Gallery Verified
No official Fauquier County or NRADC gallery of released-person booking photos was found. The Fauquier Adult Detention Center page describes a current-custody phone service limited to name, charges, court of jurisdiction, and bonding information. Its stated public fields omit photographs and release dates. The county also publishes no verified 24-hour or 72-hour release feed that could serve as a photo archive.
NRADC’s official intake information confirms that booking can include a photograph. Its public inmate-finder entry point is aimed at current custody, though, and no released-photo archive was documented. The research also found no official Fauquier sheriff mobile app that publishes booking photos or releases. PAYTEL and inteleVISIT are communications or visitation services, not public mugshot tools.
Online absence says little about agency retention. A photo may remain in a booking file even when the person is gone from a current locator. Start with the custodian that created the image. If Fauquier transferred the person before or after intake, ask both the county sheriff and NRADC which agency holds the requested photograph.
Fauquier Mugshots and Virginia Records
A mugshot is a routine booking or arrest photograph created during intake. It documents that event. It does not show whether the charge ended in dismissal, acquittal, conviction, or another result. Nor does it prove that a person remains in custody. A photo and the matching court disposition must be read together when the legal outcome matters.
Virginia FOIA § 2.2-3706 gives qualifying adult initial-intake routine booking photographs a stronger access position than a vague request for an entire inmate file. Current law calls for release of qualifying adult booking photos, while permitting delay in a felony matter when disclosure would jeopardize an investigation. Juvenile, sealed, expunged, victim, medical, investigative, personal, and security-sensitive material can be restricted.
Virginia Code § 19.2-392 authorizes police to take arrest fingerprints and photographs in stated cases and transmit them to the state exchange. It does not require Fauquier County to create an online gallery. An investigative photograph may also be governed differently from the routine initial-intake image. Name the exact type in a request.
Note: A Fauquier County mugshot records request can receive redactions or a case-specific delay even when the routine adult image is otherwise available.
Fauquier Released Mugshot Sources
The source depends on where the person was booked and what happened next. A Fauquier ADC photograph and a later VADOC correctional image are not interchangeable. One represents a county intake. The other may reflect state custody. A news photo can show an arrest scene or an agency-supplied image without documenting release at all.
| Channel | Photo status | How to access it |
|---|---|---|
| Fauquier ADC website or phone service | No public photo roster verified | Use the Sheriff’s Professional Standards records channel for the identified booking photo |
| NRADC inmate finder | Booking may include a photo, but no released gallery was found | Ask NRADC for the image tied to its booking or transfer record |
| Sheriff mobile app | No official Fauquier booking-photo app verified | Do not treat communications or visitation apps as public rosters |
| VADOC | A correctional image may exist in an agency record or result context | Use VADOC only when the person entered state corrections responsibility |
| Court record | Usually disposition text rather than the intake photo | Use the correct Fauquier court to add charge, order, and outcome context |
| News or official press item | Sometimes, in a specific story | Confirm the image, date, source, and later court disposition independently |
| Commercial republication | May show an old or copied image | Treat only as a discovery clue; no commercial source is linked or endorsed |
The VADOC Inmate and Supervisee Locator covers people within state custody or supervision scope. It is not a Fauquier booking archive. A person who spent only a short time in the county jail may never belong in that system. Likewise, a VADOC image cannot establish the exact date or type of a Fauquier jail exit.
Virginia Jail VINE is an event-notification system for participating jails, not a complete photo archive. A release or transfer alert should prompt follow-up with the jail, VADOC, and court. For the official finding that Fauquier has no live recent-release list, see the Fauquier County 24-Hour Release List.
Request a Fauquier Booking Photo
Ask for the “adult initial-intake routine booking photograph,” not “all mugshots” or a broad investigative file. A precise request helps the custodian locate an existing record and separates the photo from unrelated narratives. Identify the person with a full name, booking or inmate number, booking date, and case number when known. If dates are uncertain, give a narrow range rather than asking for all records.
- Determine whether Fauquier ADC or NRADC made the intake image. A transfer can produce records at both agencies.
- Write a request for the identified adult initial-intake routine booking photograph and any nonexempt booking identifier needed to match it.
- Include the full name, booking date or short range, booking number, and court case number when available.
- Ask for the segregable nonexempt portion electronically and accept redaction of unrelated exempt content.
- Request an itemized cost estimate before work exceeds a stated amount. No fixed Fauquier booking-photo fee was verified.
- Keep the agency response and compare the image to the court case and booking identifiers, not name alone.

Virginia FOIA generally requires an agency response within five working days. That can mean production, a statutory withholding, partial production, a no-record or redirect response, or notice that more time is required. It is not a guarantee that the image arrives within five days. Charges are limited to reasonable actual costs, and the sheriff may ask for proof tied to Virginia’s statutory access rule.
If NRADC made the photograph, send a separate request through the NRADC FOIA channel. Each custodian can answer only for records it holds.
Match Fauquier Mugshots to Dispositions
The image should be matched to the right booking and court case. Fauquier General District Court handles many misdemeanors, traffic matters, arraignments, initial bond events, and preliminary felony proceedings. Circuit Court handles felony trials, appeals, and final felony dispositions. A General District entry that sends a case onward is not the final result.
Use the Virginia Judiciary case-search path and select the correct Fauquier court. Search by name or case number, then compare charge, offense date, hearing history, plea, disposition, sentence, and docket entries. Fauquier’s Circuit Court search covers records from 1988 forward, while actual signed documents may require clerk inspection or a copy request. Juvenile and Domestic Relations District Court information is not publicly searchable online and should not be forced into the adult process.
A dismissal, nolle prosequi, acquittal, or bond order supplies legal context, but it may not give the jail’s physical exit time. The booking and release record supplies that custody detail. The complete named-person verification chain is available on the Fauquier County released-inmate search page.
Note: An arrest image records intake, while the court file shows what happened to the charge; neither alone answers every release question.
Nonofficial Fauquier Mugshot Copies
Commercial arrest pages can preserve copied images or text long after the agency’s live custody data changes. They may omit a disposition, duplicate a record, identify the wrong person, or imply present custody from an old arrest. No commercial mugshot publisher, data broker, or paid removal provider is linked here. Such pages are discovery clues only and should never be treated as proof of release.
Local news and sheriff activity reports may include a photo for a specific arrest or public-safety story. Fauquier’s Daily Activity Reports and social posts are episodic. They do not create a systematic released-person archive. If a news story contains an image, note the publication date and the source the outlet credits, then retrieve the official court disposition and release record. A later story may correct or update the first report.
Do not assume a copied image came from Fauquier ADC. The person may have been booked by NRADC, photographed by VADOC, or shown in an unrelated agency release. Visible captions and page text can also become detached from the original record. Agency identifiers provide a stronger match than facial resemblance or name alone.
Fauquier Mugshots After Expungement
Fauquier’s current expungement material describes relief for qualifying outcomes such as acquittal, nolle prosequi, dismissal, absolute pardon, or use of another person’s identity. An expunged record is sealed from public access rather than destroyed. Virginia’s sealing and expungement framework changes on December 1, 2026, so current statutes and court forms must be checked when action is taken.
Fauquier Circuit Court Clerk’s expungement page describes the local filing route. A successful official sealing or expungement can restrict access to qualifying police and court records. It does not guarantee that every prior copy held by a separate publisher disappears. The current county page lists a petition fee, but that amount and eligibility should be verified because the law is changing.
No broad Virginia anti-pay-to-remove statute was verified that guarantees free removal of every booking image. No removal service is endorsed. Corrections should be pursued with the office that owns the official record and, for a separate publication, with that publisher under the law that applies. Avoid promises about deletion, deadlines, or fees that the official sources do not support.
Verify Fauquier Mugshot Evidence
A sound result connects the image to a person, booking episode, agency, date, and case. Ask for the booking number or inmate ID beside the photo. Compare it with the court case and release or transfer record. If Fauquier’s current desk no longer confirms custody, check NRADC and VADOC before concluding that the person returned to the community.
The evidence levels are not equal. A copied image shows that an image circulated. A court docket shows legal action. A VINE alert reports a custody event. A custodian’s release or transfer record documents the physical event. When the precise outcome matters, use the highest available source and retain its date.
Official records can still be incomplete, redacted, or delayed. A common name is not identity proof, an arrest is not a conviction, and release from one facility can be transfer to another. Those limits make the booking agency and the court essential companions to any Fauquier County released inmate mugshot.
